The client is an incredibly busy CEO in the AI space and is looking for a secretary and personal assistant to help him maximize: part schedule wrangler, part problem solver, part diplomat, travel planner, and fixer.
Moving expenses included if hired.
Due to his public speaking, conference, and events schedule, the job will require after-hours on-call support on nights and weekends, along with travel.
This job is local to San Francisco, California and only and on-site, and when not traveling, it usually takes place in SOMA or the mission.
International travel with him takes place a few times a year to destinations like London or Paris so please be legally able to leave the country.
This is a demanding role but is genuinely open to entry-level candidates, though we will also accept experienced applications.
We don't require a college degree but do expect the wits and ability to be diplomatic that one would expect out of a top-tier school graduate.
This client prefers people with a knowledge of where social sciences meet analysis.
Political sciences, literature, economics, anthropology, and history focusing on trade would all be educational backgrounds that might be a good fit.
Strong writing, editing, high-agency, and you just do things without having to be asked every time.
If you’re applying, please include a short note about why you would want this role.
Also, specifically note you have the time for one as demanding as this with after-hours support.
If you have a background that doesn’t match our description here, but for some reason deep down feel this role is for you, you can also take a short 2-minute Loom or video, explaining why you think you’re great for it.
(The video is not required if you match in general)
If this is still up, the role is not filled, and we will look at every applicant’s application as long as it follows the above guidelines.
Here are some additional details on what this is and is not:
This role isn’t a chief of staff because the person is the executive’s stand-in but will be similarly exposed to high growth.
It also involves more manual tasks than an executive assistant role, but it could develop into more.
We will be paying at the top half of the spectrum while taking into account experience.
This is perhaps an excellent position for someone looking for their first role post-grad school, a career change, or maybe you’re just looking for something new.
This executive notices details, so if you’re not detail-oriented and don’t enjoy details for weeks on end, please reconsider applying.
(Seriously, you finish tasks every time to “truly complete” after a couple of demonstrations)
Job requires walking up and down stairs, lifting up to 30 lbs, and sometimes in running around on errands.
Relocation assistance available.
We will get back to every candidate within a week of application, even if it is with a “we’re processing this” or “appreciate your application but not a fit,” so you don’t have to wonder.
