VINTAGE New York City Humpback Street Sign CANAL STREET - $925 (Kissimmee)

This is a very rare historic original porcelain enameled humpback street sign from Canal Street in Manhattan, NYC.
While some Manhattan humpbacks can be found, street signs from Canal Street are exceedingly rare as not many have survived.
This beautiful early sign has not only survived but it is also still in its original heavy cast iron frame.
There are far fewer cast iron frames that have survived than the porcelain signs because the frames are so large and heavy, they were left behind.
Sign is doublesided, measures approximately 24" x 13" in frame.
Sign and frame in excellent condition.
