Job Summary:
The 21st CCLC Program Assistant is the lead of a group of 10-20 students in providing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) enrichment activities at the UCP CCLC after school/camp days and summer program and supporting teachers during academic interventions.
Job Responsibilities:
Assisting in the planning and implementation of fun and exciting STEAM based enrichment activities including creating lesson plans.
Support teachers during the delivery of academic interventions to students.
Create a classroom culture that encourages group thinking, curiosity and discovery
Complete appropriate data collections (i.
e.
attendance) according to grant requirements
Assist in the assessment of student progress
Assist with family engagement activities (including Family Night) as requested.
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Training:
Prefer Associate Degree or college credits.
Minimum High School Diploma/GED
First Aid/CPR Cert
Minimum Experience/Skills
Strong classroom management and organization
Experience working with students with and without disabilities in a classroom setting
Experience supporting STEAM activities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
