Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
- Sweep or scrub floors
- Sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Skills:
- Food preparation: Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and ability to assist with basic food prep tasks
- Cleanliness: Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
- Kitchen equipment: Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and utensils used for dishwashing and cleaning purposes
- Restaurant experience: Understanding of the dynamics of working in a restaurant setting and ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
- Team player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operations
