Level up your cooking skills with us! The Cloak & Blaster, Florida's first tabletop tavern and retail shop since 2014, is hiring additional Back of House team members for our new location and refreshed concept at 12226 Corporate Blvd, across from the University of Central Florida main campus.
We are a hybrid restaurant and fast-casual tavern with an expansive board game library, full cocktail menu, and retail game store.
*What You Will Do:*
* Execute hot and cold menu items according to standardized recipes within The Cloak Cookbook, and while practicing safe and ethical food handling procedures.
(Flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, light appetizers.
)
* Assist in food preparation before and after service, as needed.
* Open and close the kitchen.
* Read a Kitchen Display System (KDS) for new orders and order modifications.
* Maintain a clean and consistent workstation.
* Assist in routine kitchen cleaning, maintenance, and deep cleaning tasks to ensure the health and sanitation of our kitchen.
* Operate a commercial dishwasher and clean dishes, as needed.
* Run executed orders to guests in the dining room, as needed.
* Report to the kitchen lead or manager.
*What You Will Have:*
* Previous food service and preparation experience (ex: restaurants, food trucks, fast-casual, deli work, etc) is highly preferred.
* Ability to multi-task and work independently with good time management.
* Ability to communicate clearly, work well as a team, and follow directions.
* Ability to excel at volume management.
* An understanding of Cloak company policies and memorization of The Cloak guidebooks.
* Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shifts on time.
* Weekend and evening availability (we are currently closed Sundays and Mondays to promote work-life balance for our team.
)
* Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 80 lbs.
* Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination.
* Food Handler Certification.
