The Sanitation Lead oversees the operation of the third shift sanitation team.
This includes assigning work to employees, checking performance of employees and performing standard sanitation practices.
The ideal candidate follows established procedures for cleaning, rinsing, foaming and sanitizing of equipment.
The candidate will follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and keeps accurate sanitation records on a daily basis and responds to sanitation issues needing immediate attention.
The candidate will build positive, professional relationships with employees.
*REQUIREMENTS:*
* 2-4 years experience in a sanitation role.
* Must be properly trained to handle chemicals
* Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
* Sound critical thinking and oral communication skills.
* Fluent command of English (speaking, understanding, writing).
Spanish language skills a plus.
* Ability to safely lift 50 pounds individually and heavier loads with a partner.
* Ability and willingness to work 95% of the day in a chilled seafood processing plant with inherent hazards such as knives, moving machinery, wet floors, noise, forklift traffic, CO2 refrigerants, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.
