*POSITION SUMMARY*
As a Stock Associate at United Against Poverty, you play a critical role in ensuring our members have plenty of items to select from during their visit.
Stock Associates work to ensure our members can find all of the items they need on their shopping list.
During your shift, you will be stocking shelves, moving inventory, unloading trucks, helping customers and more.
*WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING*
* Receiving and stocking merchandise throughout the facility.
* Organizing and maintaining the backroom by following company standard operating procedures and safety and sanitation procedures.
* Setting up, cleaning up and organizing product displays; receiving, sorting and staging of all merchandise.
* Helping to ensure the proper execution of the inventory flow process, maintaining backroom standards, and safety standards.
* Unloading of trucks, processing goods, etc.
* Collaborating with other team members to ensure the facility is properly maintained.
* Following all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
* Complying with Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulations for cleanliness and upkeep of the Member Share Grocery Program.
* Assisting with all other MSGP department projects as needed.
*ESSENTIALS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL*
* Previous experience working in a stocker and/or retail position is preferred.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Positive attitude, even in the face of adversity.
* Ability to work well and collaborate with others.
*EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS*
* At least one-year experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Must be able to work a flexible shift, including holidays and weekends.
*PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS*
Must be able to stand, walk and move around for long periods of time.
Must be able to push, pull, bend and lift up to 25lbs without assistance.
