*Job Description:*
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Server to join our team at Sushi Saint.
As the Lead Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service and enjoys an unforgettable dining experience.
You will work closely with the management team to uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence and contribute to its continued success.
*Responsibilities:*
* Provide exceptional service to guests, guiding them through our menu and offering recommendations based on their preferences
* Demonstrate thorough knowledge of sushi and Japanese cuisine, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles
* Oversee the dining experience from start to finish, ensuring that all guest needs are met promptly and professionally
* Train and mentor junior servers, ensuring that they adhere to service standards and uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence
* Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service, ensuring timely delivery of orders and maintaining quality standards
* Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with tact and professionalism, resolving issues to the satisfaction of the guest and the restaurant
* Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning tasks as needed
*Requirements:*
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a server in fine dining restaurants, with a focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine
* Extensive knowledge of sushi varieties, preparation techniques, and flavor profiles
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
* Certification in food safety and sanitation preferred
