_Job Title: Dishwasher/Porter_

_Reports To: Food Services Director_
*SUMMARY:*
Is responsible for providing quality meals and maintaining standards of kitchen cleanliness.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: *include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
* Prepares all foods according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the Cook or Food Services Director.
* Insures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes and menus.
* Prepares quality food products according to standardized recipes and menus.
* Assembles food line.
* Prepares food in a timely manner, at specified meal times.
* Serves food.
* Follows departmental procedures including sanitation safety and cleaning schedules as directed by the Department of Health.
* Properly washes and stores all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
* Labels and dates all food products in the refrigerator, freezer, and food storage area.
* Properly disposes of refuse.
*COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITES:*
Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents’ families, visitors and staff.
Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the resident, employee, residence, company information and records.
Maintains a safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits.
Complies with the attendance policy.
Maintains neat appearance, good personal hygiene, and appropriate attire.
Participates in training, in services, and attends meetings as required.
Assists with special projects as assigned and performs other related duties.
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:*

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:*
High school degree or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training.
Safe Food Handling training is preferred.
Current Food Managers Certification a plus.
Requires a working knowledge of Food Service and working with the elderly.
*LANGUAGE SKILLS:*
Ability to read and write correspondence, memos, reports, and polices.
Able to communicate on a one-on one or group situations.
Good communication skills with an adult population.
*MATHMATICAL SKILLS:*
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
*REASONING ABILITY: *
Ability to apply common sense understanding in carrying instructions.
Ability to deal with situations with moderate variables.
