*Job Description:*
The responsibilities of the Dishwasher include ensuring that all kitchen equipment is always clean and readily available for the cooks and customers.
*Essential Job Functions:*
- Gather utensils, dishes, and glasses for cleaning.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines.
- Hand wash specific items such as cutting boards, large pots and pans, and delicate items.
- Properly store clean and dry dishes, glasses, and utensils.
- Place equipment in its designated location before and after preparation.
- Ensure there are always dishes, glasses, and utensils available, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain inventory of dishwashing detergents and cleaning supplies.
- Observe the operation of dishwashing machines and report any issues.
- Assist with regular trash disposal.
- Assist with cleaning the kitchen and all its areas.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
- Comply with established sanitation standards, safety, and health standards.
- Adhere to all company standards, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
*Job Qualifications:*
- Previous experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants is preferred.
- Attention to detail and handling items with care and delicacy.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
*Working Conditions and Physical Demands:*
- Ability to navigate all parts of the restaurant quickly.
- May experience prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
