The Bistro Cook is responsible to prepare food items in accordance with production requirements, Brand, Quality and Food Safety Standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
Setup and Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, washing, peeling chopping, and storing food.
Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, food preparation checklist and number of covers served, check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Operate ovens, stoves, grills, fryers and other equipment.
Clean and sanitize back of the house, including but not limited to trash removal, equipment, countertops, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes
Cleaning, setup, service and breakdown of Food and Beverage in meeting rooms, according to Banquet Event Orders
Deliver orders to guestrooms as requested
Position Requirements:
1 Year of Line Cook experience required
Flexible schedule availability required
Food Safety Certificate preferred
Education:
High school diploma or GED;
Typical Physical / Mental Demands:
The employee is required to stand, walk, for prolonged periods of time
Must use hands to perform food preparation and sanitation responsibilities
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch to restock, store and clean
Must have good near and far vision, including ability read and interpret written instructions/directions
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
Ability to distinguish smells
Duties mainly performed indoors
