Make and serve a variety of espresso and coffee based beverages.
Professionally greet customers, take orders, answer product questions, obtain payment, and provide accurate change.
Washes and cleans equipment, surfaces, and dishes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare hot and cold espresso and coffee based beverages using blenders, grinders and commercial coffee machines.
Measure ingredients.
Professionally and courteously greet customers, answer product questions, take orders and payment, and accurately complete financial transaction using appropriate register/machine.
Ensures security of company assets.
Inventory ingredients, cleaning supplies, and products.
Request re-orders.
Receive, inspect, and store deliveries.
Replenish supplies.
Following commercial cleaning and sanitation standards clean and maintain equipment, surfaces, and guest areas.
Request equipment maintenance or repair as needed.
Empties trash receptacles, cleans receptacle, and replaces trash bags.
Maintains appearance of seating area.
Background
Education & Licenses:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge:
At least six (6) months experience as a Barista making a variety of hot and cold beverages including register sales.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning regulations or inspections a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
Compassionate customer service skills

Postures – Frequent continuous period of time standing up to 6 hours per day
Physical Demands – Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required to operate equipment and clean.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
Hours – May work beyond standard hours or schedule as business needs arise for the 24/7 café.
