We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney! This role sits in Florida within the Disney Experiences team and is a 24 month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
By applying for this position you will be considered for multiple project hire opportunities within the organization at different levels The Sr Software Engineer will design, develop and manage activities for the SPOT Tools Framework products including Vendor Engagement Portal (VEP), MOSAiSC (MOSA Self Service), 3PE (3rd Party Enablement) from product/new features definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
You will serve in collaboration with team members as the central team owning the design, process, development, test, quality of the SPOT Tools Framework and product(s) as they move to production and distribution.
What You’ll Do: You will partner with suppliers providing the platform and sustainment support to define stories and features and manage multiple threads of work without impacting the stability of the SPOT Tools Framework which have become a 24x7 operations and critical to run the Operations.
Without these products being operational, there is an impact to realize negotiated savings and investment causing impact to budget and strategic initiatives to reduce cost and optimize cost.
This is a collaborative role and will require the ability to work closely with legal, corp sourcing, CWM and Experiences stakeholders to strategize and help drive the SPOT Tool Framework roadmap.
The Sr Software Engineer will also work with other Platform and Software Engineers and Product Managers with the SPOT team and Disney Experiences Required Qualifications & Skills: Ability to understand complex set of products based on data to properly connect the dots and tell a story based on commitments Applies expertise in technology to ensure product roadmap and features are able to be supported and connected as products evolve.
Develops and maintain reports to support key business metrics and KPIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions Analyze data from various sources to evaluate business goals, identify insights, and make recommendations Provide ad hoc analytical support to help answer business questions and drive strategic decision-making Create user-friendly visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate data insights Experience in data analysis or reporting, preferably in a business and product organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and continuous improvement mind set Experience documenting, designing, and modeling solutions and explaining, representing, and discussing the same with the team Experience in Data querying languages including proficiency in SQL Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or other similar tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong client management skills Ability to learn and quickly respond to rapidly changing business environment Be up to date about the best practices and advancements in development and design and applying experience and knowledge to further solutions Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science and 5 years experience Preferred Education: Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science and 3 years of experience #DISNEYTECH
