As a Controls Software Engineer with the Ride and Show Control Team, you will work on creative solutions and implementing control systems for ride and show motion applications to enhance our guest experience.
We are looking for a Controls Software Engineer that can contribute to the development of control systems for rides, transportation and entertainment.
You will work on electrical and electronic systems that provide motion control of ride vehicles and animation.
We ask that you have knowledge in software development in multiple languages on industrial controls or entertainment systems.
We seek an individual that works well both individually and as member of the project team.
*Responsibilities:*
* Develop software design documents used to create and review code for various industrial control-based platforms and projects.
* Develop safety analysis documents used in safety critical applications.
* Develop and maintain software code for Rockwell, Siemens and Beckhoff PLCs.
* Develop and maintain C/C++ code on industrial embedded controllers.
* Develop and maintain software for industrial Graphical User Interfaces.
* Develop and perform control system acceptance test plans.
*Basic Qualifications:*
* 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or the entertainment ride and show industry.
* Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++.
* Experience in safety related control systems.
* Experience in software development planning and documentation.
* Experience in version control and collaboration software tools.
* Knowledge of industrial network protocols, AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP and Ethernet IP.
* Experience in software testing and commissioning.
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience in developing risk assessments and designs using IEC/ISO functional safety standards.
* Familiar with IEC – 61131 using Ladder Diagram and Structured Text.
* Experience in safety control system design using safety PLCs and safety devices.
* Knowledge of industrial control system hardware and system architecture.
* Knowledge of I/O and Supervisory Network systems.
* Preferred Education - Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
