Quantified Design Solutions, LLC is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Software Tester/Validator to support Quality Assurance checks of virtual reality and augmented reality trianing applications.
The Quantified Design team develops integrated training suites across a wide array of domains, ranging from military and medical training to aircraft cabin crew and maintenance training and this position will support test plan development and softare validation against requirements prior to deployment.
Quantified Design is an advanced technology Research and Development subsidiary for Newton Design, a world leader in aircraft cabin simulators and military training platforms.
Quantified Design develops computer-based, game based, and extended reality training systems to compliment the platforms developed by Newton Design and expands the training portfolio to defense and medical training applications.
Quantified Design’s team has over 20 years of experience conducting research to optimize training systems and applies that experience to optimize training for learners, instructors, and maintainers.
*What You Will Be Doing*
Responsible for the development of test plans based on system requirements and validation of system software following those test plans.
You will work with the team to create a full spectrum of test cases to support the Quality Assurance process prior to software deployment.
Upon system builds, you will test software against those test cases, and document the results to drive software improvements.
In addition to testing responsibilities, this position will be conduct research to determine and document the operational state of systems that our training platforms are designed to train in order to drive the documentation of derived system requirements.
For example, for training platforms that guide the startup of equipment, outlining components fo the system that change state based on the inputs provided at each step of the startup process.
*Position Requirements*
Experience developing all types of softare tests (e.
g.
unit, integration, functional, end-to-end, and acceptance) is preffered and experience developing test plans from requirements is required.
In order to be successful at this position, candidates should have:
* 1-5 years expereince supporting software QA process through testing
* A critical eye for detail to determine a wide range of test cases
* Ability to translate requiremetns into test cases
* Ability to provide detailed documentations of test results
* An understanding of software usability in order to support a usability review during testing.
* An ability to learn new processes to an expert level
* Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, and execute projects
* Ability to collaborate with a distributed team
* Comfortable working within an Agile software design and development environment.
* Comfortable working within Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality systems.
This position is a part time contract position that could extend to a full time test engineer position or full time software engineer position.
The team member will support a key role in the development and expansion of our core Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality training system product line.
Specifically, this position will support the expansion of our Uptime Virtual Maintenance training suite, Cabin Crew Virtual Readiness training suite, and XR-Med Augmented Reality medical triaining suite.
