Our pipeline supports architectural visualizations, baked visual effects and animation, real-time animation and interactive, VR/XR and other emerging forms of media.
The pipeline team led by our Senior Pipeline Supervisor, composed of tool engineers, and you, a well seasoned platform engineer that’s been through prior content creation and data management systems.
Our team's goal is to seamlessly manage the workflows and data between the company’s vast array of disciplines to promote creativity and efficiency.
You will help us implement engineering best practices, infrastructure for next generation content creation workflows, and otherwise ensure our internal workflow platform is well architected and highly scalable/available.
You love team work and understand how to build services for other developers and end users.
This role is your playground if you’re insatiably itchy to build current and next generation solutions for immersive and passive experiences, in a well-managed, happy, sustainable and supportive team.
This job can be in-office or remote (EST time zone preferred).
Essential Functions: Design internal API to abstract 3rd party licensed components of the pipeline 3rd party components include Gitlab, Github, ShotGrid, Perforce, Maya, Houdini, Unreal, Nuke, Qumulo API Integrate generative AI and language models into internal tooling.
Use content pipeline output and intermediate media formats as generative AI training data.
Design CI/CD systems to continually deliver features to internal customers.
Provide tool engineers, technical artists and full stack developers with well architected APIs for building discipline-specific workflow tools and end user applications.
Ensure test coverage of codebase.
Write excellent, detailed, and relevant developer documentation.
Integrate cloud services with local compute resources.
Design database for all workflow related data.
Collaborate with IT to manage and implement pipeline and compute infrastructure Job Qualifications and Requirements: Must have a bachelor’s degree or comparable experience, with at least 7 years of experience working as a software engineer.
Expert understanding of visual effects and animation pipelines Python 3 Compute/renderfarm design and management Experience with ShotGrid Cloud computing architecture with GCP, Azure, or AWS Understanding of design patterns and API conventions Experience with Infrastructure as Code Experience with containerization and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes Avid interest in generative AI and large language models Environment and package management with rez Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Insatiable curiosity Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
