Job Description: Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Project Engineer with 7+ years of bridge design experience to work in our Orlando, FL Office.
Experience with FDOT design standards and criteria preferred.
The successful candidate will design minor and major bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, sign structures and other miscellaneous structures) using applicable software.
The candidate will be involved in all phases of structural project development including planning, scheduling, inspection, analysis, design and technical specifications and reports.
In addition, the candidate will be involved in the technical reviews of designs/plans prepared by others.
The bridge design work encompasses new and replacement bridges, bridge widening, and bridge rehabilitation.
The candidate must be able to successfully work independently as well as work with and/or lead a team of structural engineers and designers, as well as coordinate with other project disciplines and working with clients to meet their objectives.

Responsibilities: · Responsible for specific phases of structural project development, including inspection, analysis, design, development of contract plans, cost estimates, and technical specifications and reports.
· Assign tasks and provide technical assistance to entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staff.
· Assist with the preparation of project schedules and budgets.
· Coordination with contractors on design-build contracts.
· Assist with the preparation of project pursuit proposals.
· Perform QC reviews of design documentation and plans prepared by internal Staff and other consultants.
Required Skills & Required Experience: · BS in Civil Engineering or related field · FL PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year · 7+ years of experience working on bridge transportation projects · Sound oral and written communication skills · Excellent organizational skills · Desire to work in a team environment Don’t meet every single requirement?
