POSITION SUMMARY
Provides routine Human Resources support and assists Global HR Director in more complex initiatives.
Treats employees and managers as customers, carefully balancing their interests with mission and vision of the organization.
Successful incumbent will approach the role as an internal consultant.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
May assist with recruiting activities, including job fairs, coordination of interviewing, coordination of new hire start dates and new hire onboarding coordination with Manager.
Reaches out to diverse sources for applicants.
Oversees employee orientation, including initial paperwork (I-9, etc.
), safety training, following up on and assisting with online benefits enrollment.
Advises managers and assists with counseling/disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
Participates in investigations.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues.
Supports and coordinates ongoing employee and management communications on business performance, policies, initiatives, etc.
Responds to employee and manager inquiries for information or clarification.
Ensures an open-door policy/practice for all employees to seek resolution to work problems.
Supports ongoing and timely performance management of employees to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
Participates with managers in creating on the job training; including documenting standard work procedures and creation of visual job aids.
Consults with managers and health care professionals to evaluate the need for, develop and implement accommodations, return-to-work, light-duty, and other responses for impacted employees.
Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations, including unemployment.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
6+ years progressive human resources generalist experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bi-lingual Spanish High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
