About the Role & Program
Facility Asset Management (FAM) provide construction project management services for the Walt Disney World Resort.
FAM focuses on maintaining the parks, attractions, rides, resorts, roads, retail shops and restaurants while preserving the overall show quality of our Pars and Resorts! Their outstanding construction management staff leads field aspects of construction projects including supervising field construction activities, ensuring the client's requirements regarding functionality and standards are met! This role works withing a team that provides technical support to team members from multiple design fields as well as project management teams to allow them to efficiently implement their project portfolios.
What You Will Do
As a member of the Facilities Asset Management, your responsibilities may include:
Assist project team in CAD / BIM project setup.
Set-up templates, workspaces, libraries, sheet-sets, line-weights, hyperlinking and plots
Learn and assist with company drafting and modeling standards and procedures
Digital A/E library and template management
Detail current projects by keeping meeting minutes, daily reports, attending on-site job walks and photo documentation
Develop an understanding of Construction Site safety and assist in preparation of Site Specific safety plans
Required Qualifications & Skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (esp.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements
Experience in using AutoCAD (2020 or higher)
Experience in Revit 3D modeling (Architecture, Structure, Electrical and/or Mechanical)
Basic knowledge of GIS systems
Basic knowledge of BSD Spec Link & Linkman-E
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in BIM 360 suite
Successful completion of the Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate degree at an accredited 4-year college or university majoring in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering program
Junior, Senior or Graduate student status by arrival date
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Location of position: This position has opportunities in Lake Buena Vista, FL
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 - December 2024.
Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
