What You Will Do A Software Engineer in this group will help guide the creation, installation, and support for systems in our attractions.
We work closely with internal partners to deliver world-class guest experiences with attraction platforms and systems across Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Lines.
You will report to Team Lead, Platform / Attractions Systems.
Responsibilities You will develop or update several next-generation proprietary Disney software packages with a focus on front end and user experience.
You will support the current generation of attraction messaging system Required Qualifications & Skills Experience in Python Experience with GCP or other cloud provider Experience with Node.
js, Angular, React, and Vue Knowledge of UX/UI principals and design General scripting knowledge (batch, bash, PowerShell) Working knowledge of Chef (post OS Configuration), Cookbooks and deployment Experience with Docker Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and QA processes Knowledge of Object-Oriented Software Design Patterns Experience with revision control software, such as GitHub and GitLab Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of building RESTful or GraphQL APIs and Service-Oriented Architecture Experience with Kubernetes, and microservices.
Experience in cloud deployment in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira & Confluence Experience with Agile development methods Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development Experience in monitoring and data visualization with ELK/Splunk Education Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical background Preferred Education Master of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical background Additional Information The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
