A Senior Software Engineer in this group will help guide the creation, installation, and support for systems in our attractions.
We work closely with internal partners to deliver world-class guest experiences with interactive systems across Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Lines.
We’re looking for a hands-on Splunk administrator/developer who is innovative and loves solving tough problems and enabling amazing customer experiences!
You will report to Team Lead, Platform / Attractions Systems.
This is a full-time position.
What You Will Do
Design and develop the Application and Infrastructure monitoring dashboards, alerts, and automated health checks using Splunk.
Support Splunk/Cribl administrative & monitoring tasks.
Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot Splunk/Cribl servers, clusters, and management systems.
Provide performance and license tuning for systems and troubleshoot Splunk components across multiple network environments.
Provide recommendations and implement changes to optimize Splunk in the environment.
You will help develop or update several next-generation proprietary Disney software packages.
Required Qualifications & Skills
5+ year of experience as Splunk administrator or developer for large enterprise environment.
Experience with Splunk apps development and management.
Experience with Cribl.
ETL Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to process and transform data, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency.
Hands-on experience on running distributed Splunk cluster infrastructure and all related components - In-depth knowledge on Splunk search processing language (SPL) and visualization.
Data Transformation: Implement and lead data routing, transformation, and enrichment using Cribl or similar data pipeline orchestration tools.
Experience administering Splunk Enterprise for large organizations.
Experience managing access via Splunk HEC tokens.
Experience implementing and handling Apps within Splunk.
Experience working in DevOps and Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator.
Cloud Provider industry certifications.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with Python.
Experience in cloud deployment in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
Experience handling Linux servers.
Experience with Atlassian Tools such as Jira & Confluence.
Experience with Agile development methods.
Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development.
Experience in monitoring and data visualization with Splunk/Cribl.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical background.
Preferred: Master of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical background.
