Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning
- Monitor and optimize database performance through performance tuning techniques
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and errors
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions for new applications
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
- Ensure data security and compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist in the planning and execution of database upgrades and migrations
- Provide technical support to end-users for database-related inquiries
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database design principles and best practices
- Proficient in SQL programming language for querying and manipulating data
- Experience with database administration tools such as SSIS, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux operating system and shell scripting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
