Position Title: SmartPlant Administrator II (Foundation)
Main Duties and Purpose of Position:
Purpose
Support the development, implementation and execution of SmartPlant foundation for authoring, data management, workflow, web portal and document control.
Main Duties
Interact with disciplines to develop the proper configuration required for their working environment.
Configure and customize the document workflow process.
Prepare function specific workflows.
Develop an authoring interface to disseminate data to the integrated toolset.
Meet regularly with project teams to ensure that deliverables are being made available via the tools.
Interpret and respond to technical inquiries from internal customers, vendors and external customers.
Interpret and integrate design requirements from parent company.
Develop processes and procedures that will ensure an effective and optimized use of resources while providing high quality design packages.
Provide regular status updates to management.
Provide on-going technical support to the user base.
Develop and execute training.
Major Responsibilities and Activities:
Knowledge of engineering workflow and document management.
Develop and maintain workflow protocol on a project basis.
This would include but not limited to, transmittals, official correspondence and internal mandates.
Work within an integrated admin team to ensure consistency and continuity of protocol and data.
Design and develop reporting functionality for procurement and reference.
Provide one –on-one mentoring regarding the SPF functionality.
Provide onsite training for the SPF tool through “classroom environment” and documentation.
Provide technical support regarding the functionality of the tools.
Provide continuous improvement through the use of the tool and how it could better suit the business needs.
Interface with EPC contractor and customer in periodical meetings and also with parent and affiliated companies with daily communication and periodical conference calls to ensure understanding of engineering requirements as it would relate to the use of the web portal.
Develop and implement data design protocols conducive to the integrated environment.
Develop and maintain requirements for the view and mark-up functions.
Create, modify and implement SQL queries and statement for database maintenance, reporting and deliverable enhancements and output
Receive and interpret information received from Customer or EPC Contractor where applicable.
Perform other technical Project implementation duties as required by the Company from time to time.
Protect Company confidential information by not communicating, disclosing, or using for benefit of third parties and maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science is desirable.
Minimum eight (8) years of directly related technical knowledge and experience.
SmartPlant SPF administration experience is required.
Using these tools in an integrated environment and working knowledge of MS SQL required.
SQL query creation and modification, vb and c# programming is desired.
