We’re seeking a future team member in the role of Technical Product Owner to join our Enterprise Data Management team.
This role is in Lake Mary, FL.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Work on some of the most complex and interesting problems at the intersection of two dynamic Industries Finance and Technology Develop the process flows and controls capability ensuring we have full business context of how our businesses operate.
Influence decisions on Process enhancement and Controls Strategy and implementing Innovative technology-based solutions.
Interact with other high-performing teams within BNY Mellon to inspire innovation and champion change throughout the bank.
Establish large and fascinating business context domain knowledge through the lens of data management currently not available anywhere else.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Experienced hands-on Operational Process and Controls with solid data and Metadata Management, from concept to implementation Strong stakeholder management and people skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and management expectations accordingly to senior stakeholders.
Experience with complex business process flow modelling, data structures and operational risk controls.
Team player and acts on own initiative, taking the opportunity to identify opportunities.
People Leadership, be able to inspire and build momentum across a global team.
Required: You have 10+ years of experience, with at least 4 years leading a data management capability from inception to operation.
Knowledge of financial products and business processes and risk controls self-assessment You have strong analytical and management skills and the ability to independently own the capability or their components end-to-end, with a demonstrable track record of delivery.
Experience in organizing, researching, and analyzing stakeholder needs.
You bridge the technical and business worlds with a combination of vision, and market/user/competitor research.
Experience in business analysis, user research, maturity road-mapping, change management, planning and reporting.
Worked in Agile environment and played an active role in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and sprint demo.
Adept in using backlog prioritization techniques to define sprint goals and enable iterative deliveries.
A working knowledge of data governance frameworks, best practices in particular Business Process Modelling, Controls environment in alignment with risk management standards (RCSA), Data Quality and Metadata Management.
Experienced with UML, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma (SIPOC) Modelling You have a view on what it takes to build a scalable capability, shared components and services that can serve multiple distribution channels across the Enterprise.
The ability to build consensus amongst a wide range of partners including businesses and functions, technology, operations, legal & compliance.
You are a team player and can roll your sleeves up when you need to and are also able to lead and influence conversations with all involved parties.
Ability to navigate a matrix organization and the ability to influence peers by articulating the capability offering and value to business partners.
You are a self-starter, with the curiosity, energy, drive and stamina to seek out and bring to fruition new opportunities, capability enhancements and improved ways of working.
