Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of IT Applications and Development, the Junior, Software Support Engineer provides assistance, advice, and solutions in support of enterprise applications.
In support of end user adoption, incident resolution, and problem resolution.
The Engineer will research best practices, investigate problems, identify root causes, and collaboratively engineer solutions.
The Junior, Software Support Engineer works in conjunction with Software Development staff, Tech Support staff, IT vendors, and end users to develop quick, effective solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Support and foster end-user engagement of enterprise applications.
Manage, research, and ensure resolution to software related requests for assistance (incidents, problems).
Perform triage functions by troubleshooting software and identifying root causes of software problems.
Analyze software related errors, alerts, issues, and propose solutions.
Configure application workflows, monitors, alerts, reports, and SQL queries.
Administer and configure enterprise applications.
Test (verify) solutions using manual and automated testing tools, prior to implementation.
Perform technical support functions related for enterprise applications.
Document software support activities thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Make decisions quickly, sometimes with limited information.
Review work log, customer feedback periodically with supervisor and other team members, to identify and act on opportunities for improvement.
Participates in Enterprise Systems on-call procedure.

Performs other duties as assigned.

1-2 years of related experience
Excellent multi-tasking, and organizations skills
Outstanding verbal / written communication skills
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Must work well independently or as part of a team
Ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff
