Key Responsibilities Develop relay settings and protection philosophies for transmission and sub transmission equipment including T-lines, transformers, bus, cb control etc.
Review protection and control design package.
Provide remote field support to the relay test engineers during installation of settings.
Model electrical systems in power simulation programs like CAPE and ASPEN.
Create thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
Minimum Requirements B.
S.
in engineering, preferably electrical or computer engineering.
2+ years’ experience developing relay settings and protection philosophies for transmission and sub transmission equipment including T-lines, transformers, bus, cb control etc.
2+ years of proficiency in electrical engineering theories and principles.
Preferred Skills Advanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Word, and/or Access.
Ability to plan and manage assignments and clearly communicate barriers to completion of tasks on budget/schedule.
Use computer software tools to model engineering problems, program automation systems, prepare spreadsheet-based analyses and automation.
Experience with developing settings for Schweitzer relays.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work remotely without supervision.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position is: $68,325.
