Job Summary
As a Designer/Drafter Intern with JBT AeroTech, you will .

Will work closely with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical engineers and designers to prepare complete sets of complex drawings which include multiple views, detailed drawings and exploded assembly drawings.
You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Produce engineering documents and data including engineering change notices and releases, reports and design review presentations
Work with other departments to provide engineering documentation and information
Analyze engineering sketches, designs and drawings to determine drafting requirements
Draft detailed drawings of assemblies, installations and parts as required
Prepare Engineering Change Notices and other engineering documentation
Prepare concepts, cost estimates, design reviews, and complete drawing packages from verbal or written instructions
Prepare estimates and completion schedules for product design projects
Provide technical assistance when issues arise or when new products are released into production
Analyze new and existing products to eliminate design issues in fabrication, assembly, and operation
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in and or have completed an AS or AA degree in drafting and design technology within the past 12 months
Proficient in Computer Aided Design (CAD); Siemens NX, or Pro-E, or Solid Works, or AutoCad preferred
Experience creating 3D CAD models and generating drawing packages from a 3D Cad model (will provide training on NX)
Basic use of Microsoft office including; Excel, Word and Power Point
Ability to communicate work and share knowledge with manufacture technicians, engineers, designers, and purchasing agents
Self-motivated
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
