We are seeking a Software Engineer III who has experience making software run on hardware.
While not a true embedded software engineer position, this opportunity does require the ability to create software that runs efficiently on hardware.
In addition, this position provides technical development and leadership within our software team.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience as well as at least 4 years of experience developing software using C++.
Experience solving complicated issues and providing guidance to junior engineers is a must.
The ability to communicate problem resolutions and new innovative ideas to stakeholders is also required.
Experience with Python, JavaScript, OpenGL, and multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS) is a plus.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Leads efforts for delivery of projects or products including planning, designing, and testing.
Implements software in accordance with customer requirements and design constraints.
Uses technical innovations to improve individual and team processes and code development.
Makes innovative team contributions that improve the overall team performance and improve customer satisfaction.
Continuously learns new concepts and becomes recognized as an expert in certain domains.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a substantial amount of time operating a computer terminal.
Frequently communicates with clients, team members, etc.
Travel is required.
