Job Overview: The Senior Oracle Developer within Advisor Compensation Systems is responsible for hands on development and maintenance of advisor compensation systems.
The role requires a mid-level resource with experience in PL/SQL skills to support back-end services and data for the on time and successful implementation of strategic enhancements to critical systems.
Responsibilities: Develop, in partnership with enterprise architecture and key technology and business partners, critical development initiatives Application life-cycle management of commission applications and platforms Collaborate with enterprise and solutions architecture to ensure solutions and platforms are designed with capability and supportability Develop positive relationships with business partners to better understand their needs to deliver value-add solutions Collaborate with other teams (technical and non-technical) to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to SDLC processes What are we looking for? Requirements: 5+ years of professional software development experience in a diverse set of technology disciplines 3+ years of financial services/brokerage firm experience required (brokerage firm experience a plus) 5+ years of experience in Database design, hands on development with advanced SQL and PL/SQL in relational databases and data warehouses (Oracle DB versions 11g, 12c/19c) 1+ year experience with familiarity with TFS source control or other code vaults for building processes and maintaining continuous delivery 1+ year of experience with building/maintaining Oracle database objects and logic to enable continued delivery of brokerage/advisory/adjustments details in an agile delivery model Core Competencies: Possesses a thorough understanding of relational databases and strong functional knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL Possesses a knowledge of data mapping and diagramming Possesses an ability to work with distributed computing platforms and practical development experience in one or more programming languages Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Possesses abilities with DevOps processes Possesses a working knowledge to work within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies Possesses a broad background of software engineering preferably skills on a variety of technologies, specifically: Databases: Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) Oracle Forms/Reports a plus.
Team Foundation Server (TFS) JIRA Preferences: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Oracle Database Developer Certifications a plus Proven experience with Oracle versions 11g and 19c Proven experience with Jira and Confluence Proven experience with SDLC processes Pay Range: $103,360-$155,040/year Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
