This entry level position will allow you to: • Develop and maintain embedded software applications and/or desktop applications for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) products.
• Tasks involve requirement, design, code, test, and integrate software for an embedded multi-core system as well as desktop computer applications for emulation of sensors and countermeasures.
• Prior experience in GUI development is a plus to develop a user and data display interface.
Candidate will apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Software engineers with experience in C++/C for Linux operating systems running on multi-core Intel i7 processor are needed to develop system executive, mode control, Built-In-Test, device interfaces, maintainability, and advanced track algorithms.
Experience with C++ including design patterns for embedded real-time system is preferred.
Candidate will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software life cycle as well as test and integrate software on hardware.
Individual is expected to take ownership of assigned tasks since the position offers opportunities for growth and understanding of complex systems.
Basic Qualifications: • Master's degree from accredited college, or 1 to 2 years professional experience in software related field • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance • Must be US Citizen • Proficiency in C/C++ Desired Skills: - Experience with object-oriented development - Experience with software configuration control processes and tools (gitlab, bitbucket, or equivalent) - Familiarity with software development in Linux - Experience with design patterns for embedded development using a real time operating system (RTOS) - Familiarity with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) design concepts, software architecture and layering - Familiarity with containerized development and deployment environments - Familiarity with Data distribution service (DDS) - Familiarity with DevSecOps (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing) - Familiarity with Yocto OS development Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
