StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Software Developer, Journeyman, to join our Live, Virtual, Constructive, Modeling & Simulation (LVCMS) Lab Team at NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL.
NAWCTSD is the Navy’s principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies.
The LVCMS Lab specializes in development of computer software, including computer system architecture and system software organization for Live, Virtual, and Constructive Modeling and Simulation Trainers, specializing in Anti -submarine Warfare and Virtual At-Sea Training Systems.
Essential Job Duties:
Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
Applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Experience Requirements:
Candidate must have approximately 3 or more years of experience with software development.
Requires knowledge of software engineering functions including: requirements development, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, reliability and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis, metrics, and human factor integration.
The ideal candidate would have experience in following languages: Java®, C, C++, C#, Swift®, Ada, Rust™, Go, and Python.
Experience with Cross Domain Solutions are not required but preferred.
Operating System experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is also preferred.
DoD acquisition and military training experience preferable.

Minimum Secret clearance required OR must be eligible to apply and be granted interim DoD interim clearance prior to employment.
