The 3D Terrain Senior Staff Software Engineer will work directly with Maxar’s 3D Terrain Production team by providing software development services to support the 3D program business portfolio needs.
The Senior Staff Software Engineer will be primarily responsible for creating new and innovative solutions to complex and challenging spatial problems.
Additional responsibilities will include creating code documentation and coordinating with multiple software development teams.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with mid and senior level systems engineers in a distributed development environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
U.
S Citizen with the ability to qualify for a DoD SECRET clearance
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or information science field.
10 years of direct software development experience.
3+ years of experience working in controlled software development environment.
Familiarity with AWS and US gov.

Knowledge of image processing and photogrametry
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
US Veteran
Knowledge of machine learning, extensive experience with the development of machine learning algorithms is a plus
Extensive knowledge in a variety of coding languages and syntaxes e.
g.
C, C++, C#, Python, etc.
Experience developing geospatial/modeling & simulation programs
Experience in commercial gaming engines e.
g.
Unity, Unreal, etc.
Knowledge of geospatial terrain data products is a plus.
Prior experience using Confluence, DOORS, GIT, and JIRA is a plus.
Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility.
Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience.
The range for this position is:
$123,000.
00 - $206,000.
00 annually.
Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
