Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking an electrical, computer, aerospace or mechanical engineering student for our Integration, Test & Evaluation Directorate.
The internship will provide a learning experience associated with performance of tasks involving missile systems and/or automated test equipment.
Tasks may include development of detailed missile assembly test procedures, development of automated test equipment requirements, automated test equipment software development, hardware and software integration of missile subsystems, troubleshooting and status reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing an engineering/science degree.
• Capable of working with experienced colleagues developing and documenting new standard laboratory processes, as well as interpreting and executing analytical tests according to ASTM specifications.
• Very proficient in computing within a Windows-based MS Office-suite centered environment for communication, scheduling, data processing, basic data transfer, and project documentation.
Desired Skills:
• Pursuing a Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering Degree
• Experience with metallurgical sample preparation.
• Excellent detail-oriented analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of analytical Instrumentation such as SEM, optical microscopy, hardness testing.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
