PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and manage the NCRC networked computing infrastructure to ensure optimal and secure operations
Designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software
Participate in the planning, direction and coordination of all program system engineering efforts
Maintain and expand knowledge of current and developing technologies, design and analysis methodologies, and develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development
Advise management and customer on operations and research studies and applications, technology assessments, schedule, and budget requirements
Support system design reviews and the software development lifecycle
Responsible for verification of the developed features throughout the product development
Provide input on design improvements to cyber tools software or hardware for the network
Requirements:
MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science; engineering; mathematics, management of information systems; cybersecurity; or a related field of study and fifteen (15) years' of work related experience
Experience monitoring and managing a networked computer infrastructure
Proven experience in the development/improvement of new and existing products, solutions, and processes
Experience with system-level architectural design of software, hardware, and networked systems
Experience developing and maintaining system and software installation documentation
Experience working government programs with controlled engineering baselines
Intermediate level knowledge of cybersecurity, including common risks to IT systems and of enterprise IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage)
Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies
Intermediate level knowledge of computer networking and IT Service Management best practices
Familiarity with cyber range tools, including deployment automation, configuration automation, monitoring, and traffic generation
Effective communication skills; ability to accurately convey project status, identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and to express technical ideas to senior decision makers
DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in computer science; computer and information sciences, engineering, mathematics, management information systems, cybersecurity, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science topics
Twenty or more (20+) years' of related, proven experience
Experience managing a DoD or Federal cyber network.
Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management best practices
Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools
