Responsible for supervising part-time clinical faculty and staff responsible for simulation and clinical work.
Creates policies and procedures to ensure that all clinical sites and activities are in compliance with accreditation requirements, state, and federal statutes and other regulations.

Oversees and arranges clinical experiences for all nursing/allied health programs including clinical site development and evaluation, clinical scheduling, and clinical oversight to enhance nursing/allied health student experiences in the care of patients.
Ensures programs meet the regulatory clinical hour requirement as defined in Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and other allied health accreditation agencies.

Directs, creates, and implements policies, providing operational oversight of clinical experiences.
Evaluates alternative courses of action; guides program direction and project implementation to meet strategic goals.

Hires, trains, and supervises part-time clinical faculty.
Guides, evaluates, and assigns clinical schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable rules, laws, and guidelines.
Provides coaching and engages in professional development efforts of part-time faculty.

Directly manages and supervises staff responsible for simulations, inventory systems, operation of equipment and use of materials in the Allied Health and Nursing laboratories.

Oversees and monitors all clinical contract documentation to ensure that records are current and compliant with regulatory standards for clinical experiences.
Responsible for all reporting, data collection, and analysis to evaluate clinical experiences and articulate outcomes in support of the college impact plan and other required reporting.

Builds meaningful partnerships with clinical agencies to ensure that clinical practice sites are available for student learning and application of site experience.
Researches and determines appropriate agencies that meet the educational requirements for clinical experiences for nursing students.
Seeks new opportunities while managing relationships with existing partners.

Conducts written evaluations of clinical placements to assess the agencies’ ability to meet educational and program requirements that foster a supportive and compliant student learning environment.
Ensures that proper documentation has been completed regarding each student’s clinical experience.

Designs and develops the new clinical orientation for new agencies.
Leads and implements new clinical faculty orientation to support faculty in the development and improvement of learning outcomes and assessment activities.

Participates in the development and implementation of ongoing and routine program assessment and on-site evaluation of clinical faculty to understand the program’s strengths and weaknesses and to establish a model of evidence-based program improvement.

Collaborates with campus leadership to build and strengthen partnerships with individuals, divisions, and other groups on campus and college-wide.
Provides updates regarding clinical site availability for both students and faculty.
Represents Nursing and Allied Health at Valencia College Advisory Board meetings.

Oversees the placement of faculty in clinical agency sites in conjunction with campus leadership and consistent with curriculum requirements and faculty areas of expertise/credentials.

Engages in student satisfaction and retention activities to ensure program maintains high level of quality.
Conducts follow up evaluations of students placed in facilities six months post-graduation from the program through targeted communication plans.

Qualifications Drivers License Requirement Drivers License Requirement Required Qualifications Required Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Required Field of Study Other Required Qualifications Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience managing nursing and allied health projects and/or programs to include overseeing clinical experiences; ensuring compliance; and directing/leading others.

Working Conditions General Working Conditions This job primarily operates in a professional office environment.
