(CPT) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer that can engineer, support and maintain cyber security programs and environments.
Responsibilities: Execute the software engineering tasks necessary to maintain and make changes to the baseline architecture.
Support cyber range capability assessments, evaluations, and technology prototypes.
Perform the software engineering tasks necessary to deploy and support testing of software tools and capabilities used in the Range Management and Range Configuration Enclaves and event Testbeds.
Assist in the development of tools necessary for rapid instantiation of unique and complex range environments for cyber testing activities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering and ten (10) years or more of work-related experience.
Experience planning and technically directing projects or major phases of significant projects, to include coordinating the efforts of technical support staff performing the assigned projects.
Capacity to interact as the company representative with the customer in the collection and translation of requirements to defined specifications.
Ability to collaborate with customers, teaming partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain/exchange information, provide technical direction & assist in resolving technical issues.
Capability to develop and deliver complex technical presentations to high-level program management and customers.
Some experience with cyber testing or training includes experience with defensive and offensive cyber tools and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP).
High-level knowledge of software development to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (computer, network, storage).
Proficiency in PowerShell, bash scripting, Python scripting, Java, and C/C++ development.
Strong experience with Linux-based operating systems.
Knowledge of one or more continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
Knowledge of infrastructure configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.
Knowledge of one or more of the following: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP, etc.
Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMWare, Docker, HyperV, Xen, Kubernetes, etc.
Knowledge of version control systems such as SVN and Git.

Desired Skills: Experience working with platform development, end-users (operators), and system developers.
Experience developing user simulators, which generate network and application traffic to simulate realistic users.
Intermediate knowledge of software defined networking and network function virtualization.
Experience building out complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and services such as AD, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, databases, IIS, Apache, etc.
Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and tools.
