Contract Support Specialist
Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, PLLC (ICE) is seeking a CEI Contract Support Specialist to join our growing team in Florida.
Position Summary: This position is responsible for Contract Administration of CEI work for FDOT projects.
The CSS will perform basic contract administration functions for civil transportation projects.
The CSS will work under the supervision of the Project Administrator and Senior Project Engineer.
This is a full-time position.
The CSS will need to travel to FDOT Offices and Project Offices.
This position may work weekends based on the project demands.
Position Responsibilities: Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
Ability to analyze contract quantities to prevent overruns and underruns.
Ability to become proficient in Trimble Business Center - Heavy Construction Edition (HCE) or approved surface to surface comparison software and Engineering Menu.
Proficiency in the knowledge and expertise to: Understand which surfaces are needed from the designer.
Understand the survey data from the field.
Prepare the survey data as needed for use in the software.
Generate accurate earthwork quantities from the software.
Responsible for exercising independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project.
Responsible for performing work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.
Responsible for familiarity with the Department’s Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform those duties.
Knowledge of SiteManager/PrC.
Proficient use of Microsoft Programs including Word and Excel including creating spreadsheets with formulas.
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
For personnel with engineering, engineering technology, and construction management degrees: No prior experience is required.
For personnel without engineering, engineering technology or construction management degrees: Four (4) years of CEI experience having performed/assisted in project related duties (i.
e.
, Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) System input, progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.
); or Two (2) years of experience with 3D Modeling and CADD.
CTQP Final Estimates Level II required.
A valid Driver's License is required with a safe driving record and must complete a pre-employment screening.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Demands: While working in the office, this position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking.
The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 20 pounds.
The office environment is indoors, characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
During fieldwork, the position entails moderate physical exertion, encompassing walking, standing, bending, and ascending stairs or ladders.
The employee may occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Fieldwork exposes inspectors to various environmental conditions, including but not limited to loud noise levels, dust, dirt, and temperature fluctuations.
Inspectors must adeptly navigate construction sites and conduct thorough inspections of materials and structures.
