Provides leadership and initiative in the solutions to improve the availability, scalability, latency, resiliency and efficiency across the enterprise.
Responsible for improvements to end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
Leads the improvements and optimization of service conditions.
Mentors those in less senior positions.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.
Job Specific Information: Responsible for providing the platform for critical applications and systems to maintain constant high availability and reliability.
Develop and maintain the system and its services, automate the deployment and orchestration, ensuring system scaling, investigating and resolving, identifying and implementing preventive measures proactively, collaborating with key stakeholders such as development, architects, testing, and business partners.
Conduct proactive measures such as capacity planning, performance tuning as well as working closely with development teams to ensure that features and services are designed and deployed in a way that meets reliability and performance goals.
Build and implement services to make IT support better at their jobs.
This may include but not limited to adjustments in monitoring and alerting, code and configuration changes in production, building tools from scratch to help with weaknesses in software delivery and incident management.
Participate in incident calls, provide strong thought leadership and direction to bring services back to a running normal state.
Lead/investigate postmortem for critical incidents in identifying root cause, provide recommendations that will help mitigate or permanently avoid the issue from happening again and working with Rely teams to develop and implement best practices.
Lead, design, develop, implement a cohesive and structured approach and execution in the areas of observability, service level objectives, reliability culture, incident management and other areas that will help achieve reliability goals and objectives.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong Presentation skills (using powerpoint) Strong sense of ownership Site Reliability Engineering or Devops focused role Advanced knowledge and experience in Linux or its variations, Java, Springboot, Weblogic, AppDynamics, Splunk, webservice technology, API technology, Networking, cloud technology, etc.
Experience managing, scaling and troubleshooting Java applications Work Location(s)/Domicile: This position may be in Collierville, Tennessee; Orlando, Florida; Plano, Texas; Pittsburg, Pennsylvania or Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Additional Information Salary Range Estimate: Monthly Salary: $9,145.
