Job Summary
Our ideal Flight Test Engineer will have an aptitude, ambition, and attitude to determine product compliance with given specifications and their functionality.
As a Red 6 Flight Test Engineer you will design, implement, and execute tests to evaluate computer hardware, software and optical systems in ground-based lab and in-flight scenarios.
You will work closely with test engineers and flight operations to ensure Red 6 products meet specified requirements and are free from errors.
Key Responsibilities
5+ years or greater experience in system flight test planning/ in-flight execution
Experience designing, developing, and executing flight test processes, requirements, and documentation of laboratory/flight testing of computer hardware, software and related equipment
Leading the flight test activities.
Coordinating and leading meetings, deconflicting competing needs, scheduling test objectives to be tested per scheduled flight and managing the flight test tasks
Ability to work with others from engineering and non-engineering disciplines in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment
Good oral presentation skills and ability to write technical documents clearly and concisely
Worked in environments following processes certified under DO-178C, ISO9001, AS9100, CMMI, or similar
Must have U.
S.
Citizenship capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
Travel up to 10% of the time.
Experience, Skills and Required Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field from an ABET accredited institution.
Experience in the aviation domain as a pilot or ground school highly preferred.
Proficiency with programming languages such as Python and C++
Command line and Linux experience.
Must be able to commute to or move to Orlando, Florida.
On-site work required (relocation negotiable).
Qualified candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
