The position of Systems Engineer has a major emphasis on customer service, positive attitude, professional quality, and teamwork above all else.

Duties and Responsibilities Non-Technical Building relationships with our clients in a positive meaningful way.

Technical Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, storage solutions, virtualization solutions, and any other network devices.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance reliability, scalability, and availability.
Configure and maintain network protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and VPNs, to ensure optimal performance and security.
Support and maintain technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications such as Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, DirectAccess, Terminal Services/RDS.
Cloud environments like Azure, AWS, & Google Cloud.
Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
Support for Disaster Recovery strategies including server imaging and automated offsite backups.
Remote access solution implementation and support (i.
e.
, VPN, Terminal Services, & Citrix) Detailed KB documentation of customer’s systems.
Detailed ticket documentation of time spent on service issues and projects.
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to junior team members and assist in their skill development.
Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty exceptionally.

We require employees to maintain industry certifications.
The employee filling the System Engineer position should have an outstanding level of customer service and some of the following certifications: Microsoft MCSA/MCITP/MCSE, SonicWall CSSA, Cisco CCNA, VMWare VCP, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, WatchGuard Fireware Essentials+, 3CX Basic/Advanced Certifications.
Education and Experience Minimum five years of architect/engineer IT experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, friendly, positive, optimistic demeanor.
A strong understanding of networking technologies, solutions, troubleshooting, & support.
Preferred but not required experience with: Autotask, Datto RMM, Auvik or Managed Services (MSP) experience a major plus.
Ubiquiti, Meraki Appliances, Cisco Networking Technology, Dell, EMC and HP Storage Solutions, VMware Solutions Image based backup solutions.
