Must possess an Associate's degree or higher, two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education, sixty (60) college credit hours from an accredited institution, or an acceptable score on the state-mandated paraprofessional exam.
Directly adjacent to the city's sports complex, beautiful tree-lined park, mountain bike trail, and Ice House Theatre, Mount Dora Middle School is just blocks away from the historic downtown district of Mount Dora.
In the past two years, due to residential growth in the area, Mount Dora Middle School's student population has increased by 200 students, bringing our current enrollment to approximately 860.
We challenge our students by adjusting our curriculum to include diverse academic learning opportunities.
In addition, we have before and after school clubs to include STEM, Robotics, Student Government Association, National Junior Honor Society, athletics, and include YMCA student-driven activities.
Mount Dora Middle School's goal is to promote student academic, social, and cultural growth.
