airline, is hiring a Maintenance Instructor in Orlando, FL.
The Silver Airways fleet is comprised of modern, state of the art ATR aircraft with reliable, fuel-efficient turbo-prop engines.
The Maintenance Training Instructor is responsible for assisting in training new hire personnel as outlined in the company MM-01, Maintenance Training Syllabus applicable for each job description.
This may be accomplished via Computer Based Training (CBT) Courses, Classroom, On-the-Job Training (OJT) / hands on training and includes read and initial notifications, as well as Silver Service Letters.
This position has designated / delegated safety risk acceptance authority and requires the applicable level of initial and recurring SMS training.
Responsibilities:
Assists in managing the training program and ensuring Company maintenance personnel is knowledgeable of Company policies, procedures, professional development, FAA and other regulatory agency guidelines, as well as the technical aspects of their jobs.
Coordinates with the Director of Maintenance, Director of Tech Ops Training, MOE, and Maintenance Training Manager to develop the training programs course syllabi as required for new training programs.
Monitors the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System Program for future course requirements and improvements to existing training modules, and development of new curriculum as required by the CASS Board.
Must be knowledgeable and able to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in aircraft systems, training aide usage, simple training methods, and is capable of developing required training checklists and performing classroom instruction.
Manages required recurrent training to include tracking, scheduling, updating, and advising the Maintenance Training Manager of any issues.
Keeps abreast of regulatory and industry best practice training standards and seeks new and improved training methods and formats to enhance the Silver Training Program.
Conserves and protects Company funds, property, and materials.
Notifies the MOE of any problems encountered while performing his/her duties.
Identifies and reports possible safety risks in maintenance operations.
Ensures that pre-employment Airman Certificate currency and validity procedures are adhered to and that each employee has the appropriate up-to-date certificates.
Audits training records to ensure all required documents are in each employee’s file.
Requirements
Possess a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate (preferred)
Must be very organized with exceptional follow up skills
Must possess aviation background
Must be familiar with policies and procedures contained within the Company Manuals, FARs, CMMs, Maintenance Programs
Must possess excellent technical writing skills and be proficient with other technical training aids.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, Computer Based Training Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Tracking Systems such as TRAX (ERP).
