About This Role
The Patient Advocate will assist in guiding and supporting individuals, particularly veterans, who are navigating complex legal and healthcare diagnosis from an asbestos exposure, while supporting the company’s mission, vision and values.
Day-to-Day
Monitor the inbound call queue from Asbestos.
com users
Conduct follow up with patients
Ensure that we have met patient needs and provided a high level of quality care and services
Make follow up calls and send follow up emails about quality control of doctor, treatment center and Meso Center services and experiences
Identify and assess patient’s need for resources and/or support
Ability to work in collaboratively, independently and/or remotely

Ensure compliance with all operational objectives and procedures concerning securing business continuity for the company
Properly understand user, partner, and/or business needs and take action necessary to correct any issues that arise
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in legal or paralegal studies or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Legal experience, with a focus in medical/healthcare claims, veterans' rights, and/or disability claims preferred
Understanding of veterans' needs and the VA system (for roles focused on veterans)
Strong knowledge of administrative workings of hospitals and treatment facilities
High level of attention to detail with quality results
Disciplined, with the ability to work independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, or overtime when business needs dictate
MS Office Suite and email proficiency
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must be able to travel to the office for team collaboration and other business functions, as needed
