*The Position:* We are seeking an experienced *Licensed Practical Nurse* to support our Surgeons in Fracture Care - Adventhealth/Rothman Orthopaedics in East Orlando.
Heavy Admin vs.
Clinical (Post-Op mostly) Admin includes Post op calls, triage calls, surgical packets, work alongside physicians, assist with medical care, DME and Casting, Sutures/stape removal; Filling orders - lab, CTs, MRIs, Bloodwork, clearances - Pre-admin testing *The Company:* *Rothman Orthopaedic Institute* is a world leader in the field of orthopaedics founded in 1970 by Dr.

*Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):* · Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room.
· Directs patient to surgery scheduling and/or front desk for checkout.
· Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room, and prepares exam room for patients to enter.
· Cleans and autoclaves instruments.
· Provides and scans proper paperwork to the chart for Physician's review.
· Records vitals as per Physician's request.
· Prepares injections for the Physician.
· Pulls up x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies pertaining to the patient's exam.
· Assists patient with clothing when necessary.
· Disposes of bio hazardous waste and sharps according to OSHA regulation, and replaces sharps containers when existing containers are full.
· Answers telephones in patient areas and provides voicemail coverage for Physician.
· Requests reports for various facilities for Physicians.
· Empties and restocks laundry.
· Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order.
· Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation including ensuring operative reports, dictations, and studies are present in the chart.
· Completes pre-certifications for MRI's and other Physician orders as necessary.
· Send Visco Injection authorization request to supplement pre-certification representative.
· Scans information into patient record (including all Physician orders, prescriptions, etc.
on the date of service).
· Covers other areas in the office when not assigned to a Physician.
· Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
· Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
