The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

Don’t know tennis? Don't worry, you can still find yourself in the game! The Role Support the diversity, equity and inclusion vision, strategy and programs to advance the USTA’s mission, values, strategic priorities and DEI goals.
The position will work to increase tennis participation and engagement among diverse communities, build a more inclusive culture within the sport, and inspire healthier people & communities everywhere.
Works closely with the Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, internal USTA departments and 17 Sections, and external partners to support the development, execution, and advancement of DE&I related initiatives aimed at growing the sport of tennis among diverse communities of players, coaches, officials, fans and other stakeholders.
Plans and drives national programs and events that result in broad reach and impact to diverse communities, especially those often underrepresented or under-served in tennis including communities of color, the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and individuals with physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities.
Partners with internal collaborators and industry partners to provide professional development opportunities and DEI training and education for coaches, officials and other providers in order to build a more inclusive and equitable sport.
Helps to manage and support major DEI activations and events, including those taking place at the US Open, Billie Jean King Cup, and other local and national tennis tournaments, as well as non-tennis tennis related events that reach diverse audiences.
Who You Are Minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably supporting DE&I, social impact or community engagement programs.
Ability to drive DE&I programs and initiatives on both a national and local level, across multiple audiences.
Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal; Excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines, and exceptional attention to detail and follow up/through skills Proactive, self-starter with ability to prioritize work within a fast-paced, fluid environment; able to remain calm under pressure Experience working on cross-functional projects with the ability to work collaboratively and build trust and credibility with internal and external partners Strong interest and motivation to grow the game of tennis by engaging communities to increase awareness, expand reach, and increase participation among diverse audiences.
Passion for creating a positive impact and sustainable change to make tennis a more inclusive and equitable sport.
Ability to speak more than one language, a plus.
This position is located in Orlando and designated as "hybrid/flex" .

The expected range for the base salary for this position is 60,000 - 70,000.
This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify.
The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
