Silver Airways currently provides more routes within Florida and to the Bahamas than any other airline; having recently acquired Seaborne Airways, based in San Juan, PR, we need your help to keep our planes in the air and up to our safety standards as we expand into the Caribbean.
As a maintenance planner, your are given the responsibility of reviewing the maintenance forecast and developing the nightly and weekly maintenance planning schedules.
In addition, the roles of this position is to be a liaison between maintenance control, production, purchasing, stores, engineering, quality control, the OCC department and vendor(s) and be accountable for all aspects of aircraft maintenance planning and scheduling.
Day-to-day Responsibilities: Schedule long/short term planning, Heavy Maintenance Checks, Daily scheduling, MEL planning, aircraft routing, and communication with the OCC Department; coordinate the work scope for Heavy Check Monitor A/C total times and cycles for each fleet and adjust the Heavy Check schedule to account for all fluctuations in A/C total time and cycles Constantly monitor the Maintenance Plan and take appropriate actions to adjust the plan as necessary; coordinate with vendors to make schedule adjustments for A/C going into and out of heavy check as the plans change Manage pre- and post-dock meeting for aircraft coming into and operational departments of maintenance requirements Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure parts have been ordered and identify delivery date(s) prior to scheduling maintenance Generate the Short-Term Escalation Form, and distribute the form to the appropriate Silver Airways departments and notify Maintenance Control of any changes to the plan, and for any special requirements and notations.
* Maintain an open direct communication channel with OCC Department, Production, Engineering, Quality Control, Purchasing and Stores Notify the DOM, DQC, DOE, and all other appropriate personnel of any discrepancy, condition, or irregularity that may affect the airworthiness of the company's fleet.
This identification process is not limited to the above and applies to any non-regulatory condition that affects the overall efficient operation of the company Perform all other duties and tasks assigned by the Director of Maintenance (or) Engineering and identify and report possible safety risks to area Supervision Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess a full understanding of TRAX, Maintenance programs, time limitations philosophies, including Aircraft manufacturers programs, MMEL, and Company Policies and procedures High School graduate or equivalent A & P license preferred and excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of Management Data entry and PC knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, TRAX, and SABRE Knowledge of computerized maintenance/inventory tracking processes and procedures and background in Technical Operations, Maintenance Planning, TRAX, Finance +/or Supply Chain Previous airline/aviation experience and detail-oriented Silver Airways also offers excellent benefits including travel benefits with our airline and more! *Silver Airways is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to treating all team members in a fair and equitable manner in all aspects of employment, including, but not limited to: recruitment, selection, hiring, assignment, re-assignment, promotion, transfer, compensation, discipline and performance management, and termination.
