The Accounting Intern must be able to work up to 29 hours a week in a hybrid and flexible workplace.
About This Role The Accounting Intern will serve in an outward and inward-facing capacity, following best practices for billing and accounts receivable along with bookkeeping and payables responsibilities.
Day-to-Day Upload and organize digital files and data.
Process all vendor invoices upon approval and ensure the integrity of all payments.
Maintain and process all monthly corporate card statements.
Reviewing weekly, monthly, and other required interim period financial reports.
Create general ledger and journal entries when directed.
Updates receivables, while also ensuring the timing of scheduling and confirming bill runs.
Quality Impact Enter journal entries and review all ledger accounts and reconcile all statements for monthly closing.
Evaluate all check requests and monitor all invoices for accuracy.
Monitor all general ledger activity to confirm the accuracy of postings and promptly respond to any changes deemed necessary.
Entering transactions, deposits, and merchant payments consistently and accurately.
Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing aging reports.
Team Impact Work collaboratively with team members in your department and cross-departmentally to gain diverse viewpoints.
This is an essential investment into our culture and includes identifying needs, pooling strengths and insights and evaluating data for inclusive goal completion to benefit the team and company's strategic goals.
Complete ad/hoc reporting as requested.
Working with other members of the accounting and finance team to compile, analyze, and report financial data.
Support Core Team as needed or directed by Finance leadership.
Receive direction from the Finance team related to communicating with customers via phone and email for payment details.
Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
