Apogee Sound International AE-4M stage monitor speaker - $100 (Grand Island)

For sale is an Apogee Sound International AE-4M stage monitor speaker.
The woofer has been changed out to a new 350 watt peak rated MCM Audio Select/Multicomp Pro 55-2952 12” woofer.
The compression driver has been changed out to a JBL 2418H-1 1-3/8”-18 compression driver.
Both drivers test fine and are in like new condition.
The Apogee proprietary radial/sectoral horn is original, and is an excellent 1” 2-bolt horn design.
A 2-bolt to 1-3/8”-18 adapter has been installed to adapt to the JBL compression driver.
This unique speaker is extremely well built, and is heavier and more solid than any other pro audio speaker of its size that I’m aware of.
It resembles a high-end home speaker in this regard.
The AE-4M has multiple fly points.
The internal crossover uses all air-core inductors for maximum linearity.
It’s a super-solid, heavily braced, twin ported cabinet from one of the most respected high-end pro audio companies.
The horn and drivers would make very good car speakers if that’s your inclination.
Just to let you know, pro audio PA speakers like this are very good workshop and party speakers.
