Position Summary: The Product Manager, Digital guides a product team that is charged with a product’s contribution to our clinical and business operations, builds new products and increases the utilization and value of existing products.
In addition, this position helps develop new ideas based on contact with clinical and business operations.
Responsibilities: Essential Functions • Discovers valuable problems to solve and validates potential solutions with customers and the market.
• Develops a deep understanding of Orlando Health goals and processes to inform product priorities and improvement recommendations.
• Regularly communicates with product stakeholders and develops strong relationships to surface, balance, and prioritize feedback from multiple groups such as care team members, information technology, marketing, support services, customer experience (CX) and user experience (UX) leaders, as well as patients and the community.
• Socializesthe product strategy and ensures a common understanding among internal and external stakeholders.
• Leads product strategy, planning, and life cycle management efforts to support the ongoing evolution and innovation of the product.
• Monitors business, market, technology trends, and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and proactively proposes new solutions.
• Establishes product roadmaps and releases plans that satisfy requirements and achieve customer outcomes.
• Contributes to translating desired business outcomes into actionable product and technical requirements.
• Builds a close working relationship and empowers Product Owners to make appropriate decisions relating to product development but also providing clear guidance and setting “guardrails” to operate within.
• Continuously monitors and evaluates product performance, including outreach and usage metrics, to monitor product health and make maintain/refresh/retirement recommendations and decisions.
• Defines, tracks, and communicates relevant KPIs for the product to measure performance and contribution to business goals and strategy.
• Guides and empowersthe product engineering team(s) to scope, plan and deliver work, applying established delivery methodologies (e.
g.
, agile methods) and best practices (e.
g.
, reusability).
• Proactively supports the identification and resolution of blockers (including technical and resourcing) to achieve product organizational objectives.
• Collaborates with Care Team members, product marketing, and customer success, together with CX/UX leaders, to drive adoption and consumption of product capabilities, inclusive of identifying specific product experience enhancements intended to drive acquisition and expansion.
• Manages product investment decision-making and the overall financial performance of the product, taking a return-on-investment approach to increasing the value while minimizing product costs.
• Serves as product manager for multiple, related products.
• Works with operations, finance, and marketing to define pricing and packaging strategy and guidelines.
• Proposesrelative funding of development and maintenance (inclusive of support) of these products.
Other Related Functions • The Product Manager, Digital manages activities related to and in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
• Maintains current knowledge of HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality standards to ensure both vendor and internally developed software are compliant.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships and collaboration across diverse and matrixed stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to facilitate difficult discussions, prioritize competing interests, and manage both strategic and tactical interests.
• Ability to surface, prioritize, and balance multiple stakeholder priorities.
• Experience with design thinking principles and customer experience design.
• A high degree of empathy: An ability to align and relate to the customers.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience leveraging data to inform decision making and assist in solving engineering problems.
• Expertise in strategic thinking and strong business acumen.
• Domain expertise in the applicable industry vertical business processes or industry applications.
• Strong experience in researching and understanding both market and customer needs.
• Demonstrated success in defining and building products.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Demonstrated experience incubating and commercializing new ideas.
• Curious and able to deal with uncertainty.
Qualifications: Education/Training Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, information systems or a related field of study required.
Licensure/Certification • ITIL Essentials certification preferred.
• Pragmatic Institute Certified (PMC) III or higher preferred.
Experience • 5+ years of product management experience (ideally for Digital Productsin healthcare).
• 5+ years subject matter expert/healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Tech savvy and passionate about building products to improve clinical care quality, outcomes, costs.
• Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
• Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite of Products, other like applications.
• Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack, JIRA, Aha and Salesforce.
• Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
• Experience with best practice agile scrum development and lean startup principles.
• Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with clinical and operational users and leaders.
• Must be a strong writer and public speaker in front of large, senior groups.
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
