*POSITION DESCRIPTION*
*POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Technician is a position within the production department.
The primary function for the Production Technician is to facilitate the machining of raw material to final product for delivery to the customer.
*
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES*
_Primary Duties:_
* Read and understand work orders, setup sheets, inspection drawings, schedule and process flow
* Fill-out required paperwork completely, and accurately (WO, inspection, scrap sheets, shift output logs, etc.
)
* Basic operation of CNC mills, lathes, barfeeders, etc.
including:
* Power on/off
* Set Up, Load & unload workpieces according to work instructions or setup sheets
* Inspection of parts according to drawings and instructions
* Use of inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
)
* In-process inspections
* Operation of manual band saws, drill presses, grinders, sanders, etc.
including:
* Power on/off
* Safe operation
* Clean, deburr, and verify quality of finished parts
* Manage time to run multiple work centers according to priorities of the schedule
* Basic machine maintenance (change chip hoppers, cleanout machines, add coolant, clean sumps/screens/filters)
* Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work cell
* Follow and uphold all company policies, including those designated for safety, quality, and environmental considerations
* Maintain training and understanding of the EMS to ensure all materials are disposed of properly
* Wear all appropriate personal protective equipment required for given task
_Secondary Duties_
* Assist with receiving & inventory of raw materials
* Assist shipping if necessary

*QUALIFICATIONS*

*Education/ *HS Diploma/GED, 0-1 yrs.

*LANGUAGE SKILLS: *Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as drawings, setup sheets, safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate effectively in English between employees of the organization.
*math skills: *Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Ability to perform these operations using standard units of length, area, volume and weight measurements.
*computer SKILLS: *To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following:
* Basic use of windows PC
